Vision Productions is pleased to announce the completion of
its newest holiday special hosted and produced by Jerry Stewart.
“A Tribute to Hereos,” a Memorial Day special that follows the
SRN Talk Clock.
On this special program you’ll hear the veteran’s stories as
they tell them. You’ll hear first-hand what is happening in
Baghdad, Iraq from Army chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel Gordon
Terpstra.
You’ll hear the stories of Ernest and Bernice Zimmerman. They
both served in WWII in areas of Naval medical services. This
story helps us to appreciate the great part our American women
played in winning that war.
Then, there’s the story of the Japanese surrender – Sailor
Bob Minick was on the U.S.S. Piedmont which was docked next
to the U.S.S. Missouri where the surrender signing took place.
He witnessed the whole thing.
Finally, the story of George Mabry II. He was the second highest
decorated soldier in WWll. But this story is some different
– it is being told by Mabry’s son – he talks about George Mabry
not just as a soldier, but as a father and community leader.
There is truly no better way to honor our veterans and those
serving today then by allowing their stories to be told. Your
listeners will be glad you played your part in the honoring
on this very special Memorial Day.
