There has been some confusion regarding the relay nomenclature and the CRC's nomenclature, as well as the pin numbers associated with the relays.  This document is intended to clarify these issues.

EXPPORT1 consists of the two on-board "relays" that are actually open-collector outputs.
EXPPORT2 is an expansion card that contains 14 dry relays.
The two Expansion Ports (EXPPORTs) are separate devices in the receiver, and as such are controlled independently, and therefore are distinguished with different device names.

The "UNITY4000 MPEG Video Inetgrated Receiver Decoder" manual refers to the 2 on-board relays (EXPPORT1) in sections 2.5.3 and 3.3.  The blue 2-page "manual" labeled "Installation/Operation Guide: Unity Expansion Relay Option" contains the information on the expansion card that has the 14 relays (EXPPORT2).

Section 2.2 of the blue manual details exactly how the relay pin numbers relate to the relay (EXPPORT2) number.  We at the CRC chose to refer to all relays as EXPPORT1 and EXPPORT2 to clearly indicate whether we are talking about the on-board relays or the expansion card's relays.  The number after the dash refers to the relay number on the appropriate device.

The blue Wegener 2-page manual explains the following relationship between the pin numbers and the relay numbers:
"The relay output contacts are connected to two rows of screw-terminal connections.  The pin numbers are configured to be 1-14 in the upper row and 15 to 28 in the lower row.  Each relay's output contacts are routed to t apair of adjacent pins, the number for the rightmost of the two is eactly equal to twice the relay number designations (e.g. pins 15 and 16 correspond to Relay #8)."

So, if the CRC designation is "EXPPORT2-13", the pin numbers will be 25 and 26.  Simply put, each relay has two pins side by side.  The first 7 relays are on the top row, starting from left to right, and the next 7 relays are on the bottom row, from left to right.
